On Monday, we presented this week’s shifter and asked you to identify the make and model of the vehicle whence it came. The first and only commenter to correctly identify this week’s shifter as belonging to the 2010 Toyota iQ city car was Coco t., who will receive a Save the Manuals button and sticker as a reward.
We first drove the Toyota iQ in Europe way back in 2008. The odd little car eventually made its way to the U.S. as the Scion iQ—and even spawned an Aston Martin–badged version—though the cars sent here only came with CVTs. Our full test of a 2012 Scion iQ yielded just average performance figures—60 mph in 9.6 seconds, 0.81 g on the skidpad—but it did prove to be very nearly a real car in most of its moves. Take that, Smart Fortwo!
