Oshawa, Ontario (August 26, 2008) - The official 2009 Corvette ZR1 performance numbers are in and they’re good. Very good:
- 0-96 km/h in 3.4 seconds
- 0-160 km/h in 7.0 seconds
- Quarter-mile elapsed time of 11.3 seconds at 210 km/h
- Unmatched performance and efficiency for the dollar at $125,195 MSRP

PRESS RELEASE
Several trim and content changes are incorporated on the Z06. They include:
- New, “spider”-design 10-spoke Z06 wheel available in four versions: Sparkle Silver, Competition Gray and chrome
- Color-keyed door and instrument panels with red and titanium interiors
- Power-operated pull-down hatch now standard
- Gray stitching on Ebony base seats (previously red)
- New door sill plates with the Z06 logo
- Acoustic package standard on all Z06 models
The Z06 also receives a larger-capacity dry-sump oiling system. It upgrades to the 10.5-quart (9.9 liters) system of the new ZR1. The previous oil system held eight quarts (7.5 liters).

The ZR1 is instantly recognizable, with perhaps the most identifiable feature a raised, all-carbon-fiber hood that incorporates a clear, polycarbonate window. The window provides a view of the top of the engine’s intercooler, with the legend “LS9 SUPERCHARGED” embossed on the left and right sides, and an engine cover with the Corvette crossed flags logo debossed at the front.
